Your Parrot Hand Feeding Pro Energy – Hand-Feeding Formula for Baby Parrots

Your Parrot Hand Feeding Pro Energy is a nutritionally balanced hand-feeding formula developed for baby parrots. According to the packaging, it is suitable for African Grey Parrots, Macaws, Eclectus and Caiques and is designed to nourish chicks through important developmental stages from hatching through pinning, feathering and weaning. The formula contains probiotics to support a healthy population of intestinal microorganisms, while added fruits provide natural vitamins; the packaging also highlights papaya for supporting the parrot’s immune system and crop function. Ingredients shown on the packaging include corn, soya, peanut oil, wheat, peanuts, linseed, brewer’s yeast, turmeric, walnuts, sunflower seeds, millet, oats, milk thistle, monocalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, dicalcium phosphate, buckwheat, safflower, pear, fruits, juniper berries, papaya, raisins, cranberry, banana, coconut, apple, strawberry, Yucca schidigera extract, blueberry fibres and spirulina. Analytical constituents shown include 13.1% protein, 20.0% crude fat, 1.00% crude fibre, 1.00% calcium, 0.70% phosphorus and 0.10% sodium, together with vitamins and trace elements. Preparation uses approximately one 15 g scoop of powder with pre-boiled warm water. For chicks aged 0–2 days use 105 ml water, feed every 2 hours and maintain a brooder temperature of 35–37°C; 3–7 days use 90 ml, feed every 3–4 hours and 33–35°C; 8–19 days use 75 ml, feed every 4–5 hours and 29–33°C; and 20+ days use 60 ml, feed every 6–8 hours and 25–28°C. Allow the mixture to stand for one minute to absorb the water, remix and serve at 38–40°C as indicated on the packaging. Prepare fresh food for every meal, thoroughly clean feeding utensils between feeds, and store the product in a cool, dry and dark place.
